About Me
My name is Jose Tapia, born and raised in North Carolina. I studied computer animation in high school and then switched to film in college. I’ve worked in news broadcast, reality television shows, small films, corporate productions, and so much in between. I’m well-rounded to just about do it all: camera, audio, lighting, directing, editing, even some voice-over work here and there. I have been trained as a videographer since 2016 and I love that it’s my career.
I don’t want to ever stop learning and growing. I love the travels where my work takes me, and the brilliant people it allows me to encounter.
The Name
I chose the name Kyros because it is a simplified spelling of Kairos, a Greek term that means “opportune moment,” a way to measure time with emotion rather than chronology.
